Scot Center

Bogner and The College of Wooster continued their partnership, which dates back to 1901, to complete the construction of a new Scot Center as well as a partial renovation and upgrade to the existing Armington Physical Education Center.

At 124,458 square feet, the Scot Center includes four intramural courts for basketball, tennis and volleyball, an NCCA-regulation 200-meter running track, indoor long jump, triple jump, and pole vault, fitness center with a full array of circuit-training stations, traditional as well as elliptical running machines, rowing machines, free weights, new locker rooms, batting cages, other equipment for indoor baseball practice, new athletic department offices and meeting rooms.

The College of Wooster’s first LEED certified building, Scot Center, embodies the school’s attitude toward environmental stewardship and sustainability. The Scot Center achieved LEED Gold certification, and its roof holds a 20,000-square-foot solar array, the largest array on any college facility in the country, generating 271,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.
