In 1988, Bogner Construction Company established the Richard B. & Theodore I. Bogner Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for Construction Technology students at the Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio. The Agricultural Technical Institute is a two year technology based studies program, which is part of The Ohio State University. To date, 31 students have been awarded Bogner Scholarships.
Bogner Construction Company takes great pride in promoting from within. Most of our project superintendents started with us as trades people.
"I joined the Bogner Construction team as a carpenter apprentice in March of 1986. Following my apprenticeship, I was retained as a journeyman carpenter and worked in the field on a variety of jobsites. During 1992-1993, I worked as a Carpenter Foreman at the 386,000 square foot Wooster High School project. In 1994, I was offered an opportunity for advancement when our cabinet shop work dramatically increased, joining and learning from this in-house team of fine craftsmen. In 1997 I was promoted to Project Superintendent. I have been a part of the Bogner family for 24 years now." -Laurie Giurdanella, 2010.
Laurie "G" is currently Bogner's onsite Superintendent at the 30 million dollar Scot Center project located on The College of Wooster Campus.
Bogner Construction Company is a family oriented business. The fourth generation of Bogner's are currently working along side the third generation. We have also had many other family generations work throughout the company; including 4 generations of Geib's, 3 generations of Johnson's, 2 generations each of Marthey's, Chorey's, Hedrick's, Kaylor's, Messer's, and Kline's, and also a set twin brothers [the Schemrich's].
